
In order to solve the problem of supply of raw materials, Sun Paper began to ✘implement the “forest-pulp-paper integration” project in 2008 i₽n Laos, which is a country with rich forest resources, low labor cost and the geographical advant←age of bordering with China.
So far, the Laos Base has developed an annual production capacity of 300,000-ton dissolving pulp, ←800,000-ton high-end packaging paper and 400,000-ton regenerated fiber pulp. While accelerating the papermaking and pulping projects in Laos, Sun Pape×r gives priority to its investment in the development of fast-growing♠ woods in Laos. So far, the woodland planting area of the Laos Base has reached 60,000 ÷hectares and the rotation area has reached about 50,000 hectares. ☆Sun Paper will experience an annual increase of 10,000-12,000 he¥ctares of planting area, take gradual steps to increase its planting areas in ₽the foreseeable future and effectively enhance its self-sufficiency rate of raw mater€ials. The Laos Base accepts regular inspections conducted by industrial & trading, environment∑al protection, agriculture & forestry, and finance & taxation authoriαties, ensures that all of its licenses are extended oλn time, complete and valid, all of its emission indexes meet or exceed the EU standard,☆ and has maintained a good development momentum in terms of workplace safety©, environmental protection and steady production.
